Ten on Tuesday

  1. Brayden didn't understand why he didn't go to school yesterday.  All day long he kept asking for his backpack and trying to go out the door.  Poor guy, just doesn't understand the concept of spring break just yet.
  2. NO MORE DIAPERS!  That is correct!!  Aslynn is potty trained!   We're still dealing with naptime and nighttime issues but that is only because both children are heavy sleepers and don't wake up in time to get to the bathroom.
  3. I posted on Facebook the other day that Aslynn was lining up all of my nail polish and one of my friends said that I needed to get a picture.  As scary of a thought that was, I did and I'm pleased to introduce you to my collection.  Now there are a few missing because Aslynn is quite the piggy polish hoarder and I know just which ones I am missing.
  4. The picture also resulted in an excel document listing each and every color that I own and can physically touch.  The list stopped at 85.  I know that I have closer to 90 with those that are MIA.
  5. After browsing the numerous nail blogs that I now read, I have come to the conclusion that I need to invest in one of these.  The drawers are the perfect height for nail polish bottles and it isn't too insanely tall :)  It has been put on my wishlist and the hubster knows that I want one :)
  6. Going back to Brayden and school, we have his IEP review coming up on the 22nd.  His teacher just loves having him and has nothing but praise when we talk about his progress each time he goes.  His teacher is such a wonderful person and teacher to those children and every day that he goes and I pick him up, I tell her "thank you".  I'm thankful, too, that he will have her again next year.
  7. I'm starting to plan their birthday party and we've already decided that they are getting bicycles from us for that special day.  I think right now that we are going to do a "princess and dragon" party.  Although I'm pretty sure Aslynn would be thrilled with a "pirate" birthday.
  8. I'm thinking I need to take stock in Dole or other banana growers.  Aslynn and Brayden could live off of them on a daily basis.  I honestly can't keep them stocked here at the house.
  9. I'm starting to get comfortable with my house not being immaculate.  It stays picked up, but again, I have a hamper full of clean clothes in the laundry room at all times, there are toys that will always be in the living room and coloring books strewn all over their table.  I'm okay with that.
  10. I really need to work on the kids though waking up as early as they do.  I enjoy staying in the bed a little longer than they seem to allow in the mornings.
